mAkE is a European H2020 project focusing on makerspaces as key drivers for local digital innovation in Africa and establish mutual relationships and sustainable networks with European Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs).

The core concept of mAkE is to equip African and European hardware makerspaces and their members with relevant skills, infrastructures and regulation in order to support local businesses in implementing local digital innovations.
The goal is to help them to collaborate and scale up to become financially sustainable.
One of the mAkE objectives is to enable decentralized, local manufacturing to create new local value chains and business models.
